Product Description |

Bugs won't stand a chance of crashing your party if you hold it in this screen house from Eddie Bauer. The roomy hexagonal canopy easily assembles on the grass, and optional deck feet allow you to mount it on the patio, too. Keep the screen walls zipped up when the mosquitoes are bad, or zip them down on a sunny, quiet evening. Decorative fabric closures equipped with easy-close fasteners hide the support poles. Imported. 7-1/2Hx13Wx15L'.

Good buy...but a bit large

| This screen house is made from quality materials and has a well-thought-out design. We took it on a 4-day camping trip. We had a 13 hour rainstorm, and even though I hadn't had time to seal the seams, it leaked very little, and even then only at the conversion of seams at the top. The screen house is quite large, which is a pro and a con; it's big enough to fit even the largest picnic table under without getting wet, but it can take up most of a small campsite. Set-up definitely takes 2 people and is much easier on grass than a hard surface. On concrete, asphalt, or similar hard surface, the poles don't encounter enough resistance, so they tend to slip apart as you're trying to assemble the frame. As long as you have two people for assembly and a large area for set up, this is a great screen house. |
Nice Buy!

| This was so worth the money I spent. It looks classy, keeps the bugs out and most importantly, easy to put together. Comes in a nice case with directions sewn into the bag so you never lose them (like I always do). It's also very large and easy to relocate to another area of the yard. ***** Five Stars!!! |
Good for the price

| This gazebo is for temporary use, but looks great. I left it set up outside for a week and it finally fell over (was not staked into the ground) but no poles bent or anything. Caused a small tear in the top of the canopy, but still completely functional. Creates nice big shaded space. Not to bad to set up either, even though it does take at least two people. |
Need THREE people

Why do directions lie?
Every year we buy a gazebo, use it and take it back when we're done. Not because we want to do something illegal but because the directions always seem to mislead and not tell the entire truth.
GOOD:
1. Has enough space for a big picnic table and chairs and walking room
2. Has two zipper doors so you can butt it up against your tent on one side so you can exit your tent right INTO your gazebo in the mornings and then let others in JUST the gazebo from the other door.
3. Didn't seem to leak.
4. Color coded stickers are NOT secure and were ready to come off after our FIRST installation.
BAD:
1. REQUIRED THREE people not the 1 or 2 that the directions recommended.
2. Rods very loose, often coming apart before you could assemble it.
3. Cost $200 very high
4. Flaps/ lips that surround the top allowed rain to drip off running down the netting, some how the flap or lip needs to protrude further out.
5. No metal rods that can bend and break around the roof area like the other THREE gazebo's we had |
Difficult to set up

This is definitely a 2-person job.
The instructions don't talk about one component -- a fabric strip about 6 inches wide that is angled, but basically a large circle. It has hooks at the angles, which correspond to the vertical supports. It seems intended to go round the outside, but is too short to do so. And too long to go round on the inside.
